Bedford Hill Apartments (formerly Bedford Additions public housing community) was demolished and reconstructed with a HOPE VI grant between 2005-2012. The project consists of 351 units constructed in three phases. Phases 1 and 3 were targeted infill development that reinforced the historic development pattern of the Hill District and provided replacement units for residents relocated from the Bedford Additions property. LBA was responsible for all municipal approvals, site planning, mass grading design, civil engineering oversight, landscape design, and construction administration. The total construction budget was $67.6M and this was once of the last HOPE VI grants awarded before the program ended.
