As a collaboration with the West Virginia Botanic Garden Board of Directors, LBA helped create a first-class botanic garden for all of West Virginia. The master plan was developed to respond to the community's needs and wishes while respecting the pristine landscape in which the botanic garden exists.

Located throughout the property is a wealth of natural resources from old-growth forests, beautiful vistas, and existing wetlands, which all were preserved and enhanced. Furthermore, this site is a cultural landmark, being Morgantown’s first water reservoir ever to be preserved. Presently, the design is becoming a reality – the park and its new visitors center and education building are currently under construction.
